Lawyer’s Traffic Ticket Guide for Poland Town Court

Call Now 800-893-9645How to Fight a Speeding Ticket in Poland Town

The Town of Poland covers just under 37 square miles in Chautauqua County, and has a population of 2,356 (2010 U.S. Census). The town encompasses the hamlet of Poland Center, near which the Hartson Swamp Wildlife Management Area is located. New York State Route 394 and County Road 42 intersect at Poland Center. New York State Route 17/Interstate-86 and U.S. Route 62 also pass through the area.

These highways have many open stretches of road which makes it very easy for drivers to lose sight of their speedometers. In such cases many unfortunate drivers are caught facing a hefty speeding ticket.

If you have received a speeding ticket in the town of Poland and are having difficulty making heads or tails of your situation, this guide was created for you. We hope this guide helps you find some ease of mind in the legal arena.

If you would like legal representation, call our Chautauqua County Traffic Ticket Defense Lawyers today at 800-893-9645.

The Poland Town Hall is open every:

  • Monday, Wednesday & Thursday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Closed – Noon to 1:00 p.m.)
  • Tuesday, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Security: The court is a secure place, as such you will be asked to walk through a magnetometer. Please turn off all electronic devices and dispose of all food and beverages.

Dress Code: Although there is no official dress code, we highly recommend you dress in a professional manner. Judges often frown upon those litigants who come to court in open-toed sandals, shorts, or other similar items.

If You’re Found Guilty: If you are found guilty of speeding, there are many different ways in which it may affect you. This can include but is not limited to fines payable to the court, penalties payable to the Department of Motor Vehicles, insurance increases, and incarceration.

Court Clerk: The role of the Court Clerk is to assist the Judges in carrying out their duties. They may assist the Judges in court as well as out of court. Many clerks send letters to litigants, collect fine monies, and help answer day-to-day questions before the court.
